Terms

The short version

You pay to rank, higher bids beat lower ones, there are no refunds, and we can take a listing down if it breaks the rules. Everything below is that idea spelled out in full.

What MapleBid is

MapleBid is a directory of Canadian operated businesses, ranked by bid instead of an algorithm. Listing here doesn't mean we reviewed or endorsed your business beyond checking it against the rules on this page. We just run the board.

Payment

Payment is handled by Stripe. You're charged exactly the bid amount you enter, no extra fees. Your listing goes live the moment the payment clears. We never see or store your card details, that lives entirely with Stripe.

Refunds

None, ever. If someone outbids you five minutes after you pay, that's the game. Your bid buys you a rank for as long as it holds, not a guaranteed amount of time.

Ranking

Your rank is a live snapshot of the highest bids at any given moment. It can change the second someone outbids you. We make no promise about how long a rank holds, how much traffic it sends, or any result from being listed.

What you can list

No affiliate links, URL shorteners, direct message links (WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord), adult content, or unverified financial or gambling offers. Your submitted link gets cleaned up automatically before it goes live. If a listing breaks these rules, whether we catch it before or after it goes live, we can remove it without a refund.

No accounts

There's no login. Your email is only used to reach you about your own listing, it's never shown publicly on the site.

Availability

MapleBid is a small, independently run project. We don't promise uptime, and we may change, pause, or shut down features as the product evolves. If that ever affects a live paid listing, we'll do right by you, but it's not a guarantee we can make in writing today.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. If you keep using MapleBid after an update, that means you're fine with the new version. Check back here if you want to know what changed.

One more thing

This page is written in plain language on purpose, not legalese. It reflects how MapleBid actually works today. If you need a formal legal opinion about anything here, talk to your own lawyer, this isn't one.
